National Emancipation Party Launched at UniMAC-IJ with Slogan: "Lead the Pack on the Right Track"
Accra, March 15, 2025 – The National Emancipation Party (NEP), a student-formed political party, was officially launched on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the old campus of the University of Media, Arts and Communication - Institute of Journalism (UniMAC-IJ). The event was part of a final-year project for level 300 students, who were tasked with forming political parties and presenting their manifestos.Under the slogan "Lead the Pack on the Right Track," the NEP introduced a vision centered on economic liberation, job creation, educational reforms, and youth empowerment. The launch was a vibrant affair, featuring enthusiastic speeches, cultural performances, and an audience of students, lecturers, and guests. The party members, dressed in branded T-shirts, passionately laid out their policies and plans for national development.
Key speakers at the event emphasized the importance of leadership, accountability, and citizen engagement in governance. They called for a future where young people play a more active role in shaping the nation’s policies and direction.
The project reflects UniMAC-IJ’s commitment to equipping students with practical knowledge in political communication, governance, and campaign strategies. By engaging in this simulation, the students honed their public speaking, policy formulation, and media relations skills.
The successful launch of the NEP was met with applause and excitement, marking a significant milestone in the students’ academic journey and reinforcing the importance of youth involvement in national discourse.
